Having offered the Brixton Men's line for some years now, and it consistently being one of our most popular brands, we thought it was about time we offered the full spectrum of their goods.
Lead by the Creative Director of the Women's brand, Eunjoo Kim, the Brixton Women's line for Spring 20 is centered around an East Meets West theme, inspired by Asian prints, vintage Western styling and utilitarian workwear.
Brixton recently shared the details behind this collection, as told by Eunjoo Kim.
"I’m inspired by street style, youth culture, art, music, and beauty. That’s how I try to stay in the know of what’s going on out there, but I’m also into classic designs that don’t really have anything to do with trends. I’ve always loved punk rock, menswear prep, and workwear, so that’s the root of my designs, but every season will have different ideas depending on the theme. Travel is the biggest inspiration, though, because it’s so important to see what people are wearing globally as well as to be inspired by surroundings and environment."
The pieces chosen by The Chimp Store to expand our current Brixton offering align well with our Men's selection, providing an accessible extension for the Womenswear shopper, familiar in style, but with more fitting cuts and silhouettes suited to their personal style.
Eunjoo lists her three key pieces from the Spring 20 Women's line as:
Karen Chore Coat – Love a great chore coat, and I love the wash on this one.
Natalia Trouser Pant – I love this classic pattern updated in a modern high waisted silhouette. Tomboy with a twist of punk rock prep.
Karlie Baby Tee – Everyone needs the perfect fitting tee, and this one is it. The linen/cotton blend makes it nice and drapey.
