The Hundreds are no stranger to collaborations. In recent years collaborations have become a driving force behind the brand, helping to further their message and get eyes on the brand that may have otherwise passed it by.
Founders Bobby and Ben are often vocal about their interests outside of streetwear, it is these interests that trickle down and evolve into the collaborations that go on to be coveted by The Hundreds fans new and old.
The pair have taken on plenty of musical, theatrical and other-worldly collabs over the years, such as Revelation Records, Venom Prison, Garfield, Phantom of the Opera and Hard Rock Cafe to name but a few.
Stepping right into 2020 with one of the biggest during their tenure as the undisputed collab-kings, is a well considered joint effort between The Hundreds camp and none other than Stanley Kubrick's 1980 cult horror classic, The Shining.
For many right now it feels as though we are living through some sort of pseudo-end-of-the-world B-movie, and what could be more fitting than a collab that pays homage to a fictional horror to help take our minds off things?
Across a range of t shirts, long sleeves and accessories The Hundreds x The Shining collection makes good use of the films original promo artwork, as well as more niche callouts to Kubrick's masterpiece.
One stand out piece is the River Long Sleeve, paying homage to one of the most iconic scenes of the movie, where the simultaneous fear shared between the viewer and Shelley Torrance is depicted by a river of blood flowing from the elevator, meant to represent the draining of life caused by protagonist, Jack Torrance.
If you're brave enough, you can also pick up your own momento of a stay in the Overlook Hotel, with The Hundreds x The Shining Room 237 keyring.
Whatever your preference in movies, it's hard to dismiss this collab as one of the best to come out this year.
