When it comes to collaborations, we see brands reaching far and wide to try and produce the most outstanding product. True to form we have seen The Hundreds come through with a number of collabs this year, but nothing could prepare us for the monster lurking beneath, that San Fran skate brand, HUF, bring us this season.
From the depths of the sea, a behemoth arose, laying waste to cities across Japan and all that was heard were cries of 'GODZILLA'.
This season it's the battle of the beasts - HUF vs Godzilla. Tapping into the movie franchise, HUF bring us hard hitting graphics - spanning early depictions of Godzilla, the result of prehistoric breeding mixed with nuclear radiation, we see the beast in its formative years right up to modern day renditions.
These mysterious, punchy graphics are spread across a mix of t shirts, shirts and accessories.
We see comic book style graphics take centre stage with the Destroy All Monsters T Shirt, whilst the Tour T Shirt is the closest you'll get to saying 'I was there!' when Godzilla laid waste to everything in its path.
Cut and sew pieces in this collection include the Mothra character - a giant Moth that defeats Godzilla by encasing him in larvae in the 1964 film Mothra vs Godzilla. The Mothra Resort Shirt features an all over digital print, with a matching piece available in the form of the Mothra Bucket Hat.
It wouldn't be a complete HUF collection without a rendition of their icnoic Triple Triangle logo. On a heavyweight hoody, we see Godzilla storming his way out of a large TT print on the back, with a co-branded chest print and GODZILLA graphic on the sleeve.
To quote the 1984 classic The Return of Godzilla: When mankind falls into conflict with nature, monsters are born. Or in this case, when HUF vs Godzilla occurs, it makes for a monster of a collection.
