OBEY remain a firm favourite here at The Chimp Store. Shepard Fairey's anti-establishment artistic style, that evolved into the OBEY brand in 2001 has continued to push the envelope when it comes to design, silhouette and the inherent message that runs through all of their collections.
At the helm of design for the mens side of the brand is Mike Ternosky, a long time friend fo Shepard Fairey, who helps to translate the founders various messages into wearable statements.
This season is no exception for the brand, with the medium very much remaining the message.
Doing what OBEY do best, a strong palette of graphics is available throughout. OBEY T Shirt offerings including the Acid Crash T Shirt and Hand of Obey T Shirt carry colourful full front prints, reminiscent of the emerging days of streetwear as we once knew it.
Scaled back options for the less graphic heavy fans are the Sketchy Obey T Shirt available in a number of colours.
Cut and sew T Shirts arrive this season in the form of the brands Mercy T Shirt, an OBEY take on the classic striped tee.
Those familiar with the OBEY brand will recognise the reissue of their custom polo shirt style. This season, the Estate Polo Shirt comes in a multi stripe pattern, with ribbed cuffs and hem, finished neatly with a neckline zipper.
It wouldn't be an OBEY season without a healthy selection of shorts either. Previous seasons have seen sell out prints applied across various styles, something that is also apparent with the most recent collection. The Obey Easy Relaxed Shorts are back, available in a two-tone panelled design thanks to the Recess Short and with an all over spiderweb print in the form of the Web Short.
Whatever your poison, OBEY is sure to have you covered this season, but act fast because if previous offerings are anything to go by - it doesn't stick around for long.
